National award winning actor-director-producer Prakashraj has bagged the rights of super hit Malayalam film Salt N Pepper to be remade in three South Indian languages: Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

Prakashraj himself will direct all three versions. It is noteworthy that Prakashraj is donning the role done by Sreenivasan in the Hindi remake (by director Rajesh Pillai) of another Malayalam hit Traffic.

Meanwhile, Prakashraj was in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday at the 16th International Film Festival Kerala (IFFK). It was his friendship with Priyadarshan, who had surprised the actor by offering him the lead role in Kanjivaram which won many laurels, that brought him to the IFFK as a guest. Talking about the recent of Tamil movies overshadowing Malayalam movies, he said: "The strength of Malayalam Film industry is small budget yet meaningful movies."
