Kerala Cafe hits theatres today
Director Ranjith’s unique initiative Kerala Cafe,�an amalgamation of 10 short films directed by 10 directors (Lal Jose, Shaji Kailas, Anwar Rasheed, Shyamaprasad, B. Unnikrishnan, Revathy, Anjali Menon, M. Padmakumar, Shankar Ramakrishnan and Uday Ananthan) hits�screens today (Friday).
The directors have made a collage of 10 movies ranging in duration from 10 to 12 minutes each. But the viewers will have the experience of watching a single movie, thanks to the single theme in all the stories. Ranjith has chosen ‘journey’ as that interesting idea�connecting these 10 movies.
On the common theme of journeys, each filmmaker presents his cinematic impression of contemporary times in Kerala. This is the first time in the history of Malayalam cinema that a film is conceived by a team of 10 directors, cinematographers, musicians, editors, art directors and almost all the top actors. Kerala Cafe is made under the banner of Backwater Media and Entertainment and Capitol Theatres.
