Kanchipurathe Kalyanam begins

Debutant pair Fazil and Jayakrishnan's directorial venture Kanchipurathe Kalyanam (according to some sources, the name of the film is Kanchipurathe Viseshangal), starring Suresh Gopi and Mukesh in the lead, will start rolling from February 5 in Ottapalam and Tenkasi. The voluptuous Punjabi Navneet Kaur (also spelt as Navaneet Kaur and Navneeth Kaur) is the heroine.

The story revolves around two brothers-in-law, Rajeev Menon (Suresh Gopi) and Pattaraumadam Najeeb (Mukesh), who run an event management company. They reach Kanchipuram to organize a wedding and there begins a series of interesting events. Planned to be a laugh riot, the film is produced by Soman Pallaat under the banner of Jyothirgamaya.

The story is by the director duo and screenplay is by J. Pallassery. Sanjeev Sankar wields the camera. M. Jayachandran has scored music for lyrics penned by Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma. Others in the cast are Jagathy Sreekumar, Innocent, Suraaj Venjaramoodu, Salim Kumar and Saiju Kurup. Tamil actor Thyagarajan will play an important role in this film.
