IT seizes 20 lakhs from Mammootty's Kochi house
The Income Tax department has recovered over Rs. 20 lakhs from Malayalam superstar Mammootty's house in Kochi, according to sources. Documents related to land dealings were also recovered.
Mammootty was questioned for nearly seven hours on Friday till early Saturday morning by the IT officials. His statement was recorded at his residence on Saturday.
"We have taken some documents pertaining to landed properties. It is too early to comment now. A final picture would emerge by Wednesday," said R. Mohan, Additional Director General, Income Tax.
