FEFKA asks producers not to strike

On Friday, The Film Employees' Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) asked the Film Producers’ Association not to go ahead with its proposed strike from November 1. The Producers’ Association called for the strike to protest against FEFKA's demand seeking a pay hike.

The FEFKA core committee also decided to send a letter to the Producers’ Association seeking a dialogue to settle the issues between the two. B. Unnikrishnan, meanwhile, termed the producers’ opposition to a wage hike as inhuman.

"The Producers' Association’s arguments are against the agreement they entered into with us. So the proposed strike has some other agenda,” he said. He maintained that FEFKA was not responsible for the hefty pay hike demanded by actors.
