Currency on May 22?

Young hero Jayasuriya and debutante director Swathi Bhaskar team's upcoming Currency (earlier slated for Vishu release) is likely to grace theatres on May 22. The film is produced under the banner of Indo-star Movie Magic.

Currency revolves around a poor man Keshava Menon alias Keshu,�who�always faces some financial problems. Though his job at a photostat shop meets his essential needs, money remains a crucial factor in his life.

Kesu meets a showroom owner Danny Saippu and they become friends. They discover a technique of making fake currency and consequently land in serious various problems. The story begins from this point.

Actor Mukesh plays a significant role as Danny D'Souza, an Anglo-Indian who collects antiques. Kalabhavan Mani, Sooraj Venjaranmoodu, Siddique, Mamookoya and others are in the cast.

Scripted by the director himself, Currency has songs penned by Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma, Jofi Tharakan and Santhosh Varma set to tune by Siddharth Bipin. Viswamangal Kitsu handles the cinematography, while Gireesh Menon does the art direction and Manoj the editing.
