Black Stallion is produced by Jagadheesh Chandran under the banner of Kichu films; the script is by Rajesh Jayaraman. Scheduled to begin in October 2008, Black Stallion was delayed due to the slow progress of Pramod-Pappan duo's big budget film Musafir.
It is heard that the producers upped her fee to�more than 25 lakhs before Namitha accepted the�role in Black Stallion. With this high remuneration, Namitha becomes the highest-paid actress in Mollywood.
