Black Dalia is over

The entire shooting of Black Dalia (also spelt Black Dahlia), the upcoming debut directorial venture of popular Malayalam villain and character actor Baburaj (husband of actress Vani Vishwanath), has been completed in Ernakulam last week. Produced by M.K. Muhammed under the banner of M.K. Productions, starring action hero Suresh Gopi as a forensic psychiatrist named Dr. Aadikesav, the film revolves around a gang of ten NRI girls studying in Sacred Heart Medical College.

Sri Lankan actress Tami Dushyantha, Tamil-Telugu actress Suja Naidu, Malayalee actresses Teena Ponnamma, Ruksha, Jisna Ali, Althara, Kavitha� Nair, Pavithra, Thegika from Hyderabad and Sherry Minhas from Punjab are the ten heroines. Vani Vishvanath, in the role of DIG Daisy Wilfred, begins her second innings with this film scripted by the director himself.

Also in the cast are Sai Kumar, Jagathy, Vijaya Raghavan, Siddique, Devan, Skantha, Niyas, Johny, Abusalim, Kollam Thulasi, Saju Kodiyan, Seema, Ambika Mohan and Usha. P. Sukumar wields the camera. Sayan Anwar sets music for lyrics written by I.S. Kundoor, Jeofi Tharakan and Dr. Deepak Sneh. Black Dalia is expected to hit the theatres within two months.

Meanwhile, after a gap of 20 years, Suresh Gopi is all set to act in his second straight Telugu film being produced by Tolly 2 Holly. Though not the main hero, Suresh Gopi plays a crucial role in this film starring Ajay and Madhurima in the lead. Suresh Gopi is currently busy with three Malayalam films: debutant pair Fazil and Jayakrishnan's Kanchipurathe Kalyanam, Unnikrishnan's I.G. and Ajmal's investigative thriller Ring Tone.
