Srinath and Pragati starrer Suli has hit the theatres today. Jayaram Neenasam, Chennakeshava, Susheelamma, Rahul Sreenivasan,Adhvithi Shetty and AJshvithi Shetty are playing key roles in the movie. P H Viswanath has written and directed the film. Geetha Srinath and T S Sathyanarayana have co produced the movie under the Diya Communications Pvt Ltd banner.
Buden Sahab (Srinath) and his speech impaired daughter Shabana (Pragati A S) lives in a hill in Western Ghats. He helps everyone in the hill to get stuff from downwards by carrying it in donkeys and delivers it to everyone door to door. The twist in the tale comes when the eldest daughter’s marriage gets set and a sudden obstacle in their life The rest of the story forms in how Buden Sahab and his family overcome these issues.
The film is inspired from an article about a village on top of the hill in Uttara Kannada where a nice man delivers stuff to village people. Though an inspiration the film is beautifully picturized and very well narrated. It has a slow pace to it but it involves you and make you part of the story.
P Venkatesh’s background score is an asset to the film and also R Manjunath’s cinematography. This weekend you must go and watch Suli for its simplicity and stunning performances.
