Popular actor Darshan’s latest film Jaggu Dada has hit the theatres today. Rachita Ram, Pranitha and Deeksha Seth are playing the female leads in the movie. Raghavendra Hegde has directed this action cum romantic entertainer.
Jaggu Dada ia a local rowdy sheeter where violence has been running in the family from three generations. Things become interesting when suddenly Jaggu Dada’s dead grandfather comes in his dreams and makes a wish to get married to a traditional girl.
But things go in vain as cause of the reputation they have in the society no one comes forward to give a girl. Jaggu changes plan, shifts location and identity too. He moves to Mumbai to woo a girl and the rest of the story forms in how he succeeds in that and how many confusions and comedy of errors this whole thing creates.
Debutant director Raghavendra Hegde has succeeded in perosonifying the star image and enhancing it more with his introduction scenes, songs and some comical episodes too. The idea of conning and getting a new identity is an old strategy adopted but definitely presented in a nice way.
P Ravi Shankar’s comical role as dead grandfather is entertaining to watch. Jaggu’s mother role Urvashi is also entertaining where she prays villains only and her pooja elements are also guns and knives. Those scenes are quite hilarious.
The plot reminds us of many Hindi films we have seen till now and the climax is very much predictable and the director takes a long time to reach there.
Overall Raghavendra did a decent job for the first and Jaggu Dada is a thoroughly entertaining film for all Darshan fans.
