Kannada Chalavali Vatal Paksha (KCVP) and Sa Ra Govindu have called for a state-wide Bandh on April 18 and the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) have extended their support for it. This Bandh is to show support against Tamil Nadu for objecting to the construction of the Mekedatu dam project. More than 530 Karnataka supporting organizations have extended their support for this Bandh and the KFCC also decided to give their support after an emergency meeting. It has been decided no cinema related activities will happen on April 18th.
