Last Tuesday, Chennai witnessed cheering not just for the players on the field but also a huge roar for the legends who came down to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to see the Indian Super League football match. Actor Rajinikanth joined Amitabh Bachchan to support the Chennaiyin FC, Chennai's football franchise in the ongoing Indian Super League soccer tournament that kick-started on 12th October. Big B, who came to support his son’s team, thanked Rajinikanth for attending the event and lending a hand of support.
The match also saw the Little Master Sachin Tendulkar, cheering for his team Kerala Blasters FC. Abhishek Bachchan, who is the co-owner of Chennaiyin FC was extremely delighted to see his team winning against the Kerala Blasters. The energy in the stadium was doubled by the presence of the movie legends as it was a rare occasion seeing both these legendary actors together. Amitabh posted online, “In distinguished company – Rajnikanth and Sachin – and the glory of victory by our team ChennaiyinFC has added that extra zing in our moods and in our steps.”
