Popular Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, who has been mesmerizing audiences with her latest performance in the smash hit, Gully Boy, opposite Ranveer Singh, is the daughter of Indian filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razden. While her half-sister Pooja Bhatt is familiar among the Tamil audience as 'Thala' Ajith’s heroine in Kalloori Vaasal, the young and bubbly star has gone on to become one of the most sought after names in Indian cinema in recent times.

Alia Bhatt is also part of Karan Johar’s upcoming mammoth production venture Kalank, in which she plays the character named Roop alongside Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt.

Now, Alia is coming down to South India in the biggie, RRR, alongside Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani among others with the period action film announced to hit screens worldwide on July 30, 2020. Quite interestingly, the actress grabbed the role in Baahubali director SS Rajamouli's ongoing film when she met the filmmaker unexpectedly at the airport.

Alia Bhatt took to her official Twitter handle to express her gratitude for being chosen to be part of Rajamouli’s RRR saying she is grateful for the opportunity with a stellar cast and massive team.
