Shivrajkumar is quite excited about his upcoming movie Shiva, as it is the first time the actor stars in a full-length social themed film. The movie, directed by Om Prakash Rao, is based on the real life incidents that are gathered from newspaper reports.
Talking about the film, Shivanna said, “We have explored various problems like how people get cheated on a day-to-day basis. The portrayal of the betting trade has been realistically shown. Another topic that's being portrayed is that of child trafficking and begging.”
Shivanna said that he is happy to act in a full- length social themed film, after acting in over 100 films. He also said that the Shiva team has done a lot of research on the social issues prevailing in the state, and all the issues will be relevant to Bangalore.
The star said that he will venture into direction next year. He also said that he will only direct movies based on social themes.
