Actress Ranya is making her film debut with Maanikya, directed by Sudeep and starring himself in the lead. The pretty actress made her way into films after convincing her parents to take a break from her engineering studies and went to Mumbai to pursue acting.
The actress has revealed that Sudeep was a very sweet director to work with, but he is not a quiet person, when the performance goes down. She adds, that while shooting in Bangkok for a special sequence, Sudeep showed his angry avatar to her, as she did not get the lines right. She further adds, that she feels extremely happy to work with a team like Maanikya, who were all very encouraging for a newcomer like her.
