Following the footsteps of Sandalwood action queen Malashri, Ragini Dwivedi is all set to essay the role of a cop in a yet untitled film, produced by K. Manju. The actress is planning to undergo rigorous training for 20 days, for the action sequences in the film.

Talking about the film, Ragini said, "The story is about a woman from North Karnataka who becomes a police. Since the Kannada spoken in the northern part of the state is distinctly different from the native tongue, I am brushing up on the dialect now. There are few punch lines in the film, so I cannot afford to goof up.”

On talking about the heroines in Sandalwood, the actress said, “I am happy that Sandalwood is getting more experimental and heroines are not being relegated to being only the hero's arm candy. Today, heroines are on the same level as the heroes.”
