Actor Sudeep's directorial Maanikya which got released yesterday, has bagged Rs. 3 crores on the opening day itself. Interestingly, this is the first time a Kannada film is getting released in more than 250 screens.
Maanikya, directed by Sudeep, also stars Crazy Star V. Ravi Chandran, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Ramya Krishnan and newcomer Ranya in lead roles. The film is the official remake of the hit Telugu film Mirchi, released in 2013.
