Jackie Shroff visits Rajinikanth
While he was recently in Chennai to promote his maiden Tamil venture Aranya Kandam, directed by Kumararajah Thiayagarajan, popular Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff visited superstar Rajinikanth at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre.
The actor said that Rajinikanth is his close friend and wished him a speedy recovery. "I share a close rapport with Rajinikanth. I often refer to him as my brother. We have acted together in a Hindi movie. He was one of the few actors who attended my wedding," he said.
On acting in Tamil, he said, "I have done over 170 films in Hindi. I still remember the reception for my movies in Tamil Nadu. Hence, I thought I should do a Tamil movie. Moreover, the script impressed me a lot. I had no hesitation in accepting it."
