Parvathy Nair, a Bangalore-based model, who has just finished her shooting portions for her debut Sandalwood movie Story Kathe, has signed a second Kannada project Parvathipura, and she is busy shooting for the film now.

On being quizzed about her debut film, Parvathy said, “The movie revolves around how fate plays a vital role in changing the life of two men. About Parvathipura, the actress said, “The movie deals with serious issues like prostitution, politics, life of people living in slums and orphans.

Tamil actress Namitha plays a negative role in the movie. Ram Prasad directs the movie and I am paired opposite Rajvardhan in it.

When asked about people’s general perception that models cannot act, she said, “It’s totally unfair to generalize that models cannot act and I strongly object it. My directors like my work in films, and I have got only performance-oriented roles so far. I have done theatre and I am also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer.”

The actress has also been finalized as the leading lady in four Malayalam projects and a Tamil project.
