The audio launch of God Father starring Upendra in the lead role is expected to take place on May 6. A. R. Rahman who debuts in Sandalwood with God Father, is expected to be a part of the event. The audio launch was expected to take place on May 3 earlier, but it was postponed to May 6, as the music director was busy with some assignments on that particular day.
God Father is the remake of the Tamil blockbuster Varalaaru (2006) that starred Ajith Kumar, Asin and Kaniha in the lead roles. A. R. Rahman scored the music in the original version.
A.R. Rahman has composed some fresh tunes for the remake version and retained some tunes from the original version. The music composer has also reduced his remuneration to more than 50 percent to compose music for the film. Cinematographer- turned- directed Sethu Sriram directs the remake version. The movie revolves around a male dancer who faces difficulties due to his feminine characters. The movie is expected to hit the screens on May 9.
