Court summons for Prithviraj, Meera Jasmine

The Kozhikode Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) has issued summons to South Indian actors Prithviraj Sukumaran and Meera Jasmine to appear before the court on May 16 in connection with a cheating case, filed by the city-based Karimbil Films partner K. Mohandas.

The petitioner alleged that Prithviraj and Meera Jasmine had taken Rs. 5 lakhs each as advance for acting in a Malayalam film Swapnamalika four years ago, but both breached the contract by not appearing for acting. They had also failed to respond to a legal notice service on them via the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA), he said, adding that he did not get the advance back.
