Avinash, who won the Best Supporting Idea Filmfare award (2010) for his performance in Aaptha Rakshaka, remembered Kannada film industry's legendary actor Dr. Vishnuvardhan. Coming back to Bengaluru after receiving the award at Hyderabad, Avinash said that at the momentous time of receiving the prestigious award, his memory went back to the days he shot for the film with Dr. Vishnuvardhan.
"Vishnu sir was like a guide and mentor for me and my wife Malavika. He had always blessed us. He was very fond of me. And his performances in films always inspired me,” said Avinash.
