Making biopics of popular cricket stars seem to have been proven to be box office hits. Going by the trend, it is not surprising to know that production houses are interested in making a film featuring the life story of Kapil Dev.

If films could be made on Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sachin, obviously Kapil Dev the star of the past needs attention. The movie is yet to be confirmed and Kabir Khan, director of Tubelight is being considered to direct the film. Ranveer Singh has been approached to play the role of Kapil Dev in this untitled biopic.
