Rakul Preet Singh's name has been recurring in the news for quite some time, for all the good reasons. But a couple of days ago, it was for getting mobbed by the street urchins at Mumbai, and now she's been dragged into a controversy for her smoking scene in the recently released Manmadhudu 2 teaser. Since the time it was out to the audience, Rakul has been subjected to trolling by the internet users. In a conversation Rakul has stated that she does not get bothered by the trolls and that people keep pointing fingers at something or the other.
In the same, when asked what she thinks about the allegations that she is advocating smoking, Rakul disclosed that the audience should detach from the characters the actors are playing onscreen from the people who they actually are in real life. She added that people will get to know the reason behind her character, Avantika smoking, once they watch the movie and emphasized on the fact that one should treat it like a character's trait.
Manmadhudu 2 is an upcoming romantic comedy film that features Akkinenni Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. Aside from the lead roles Nasser, Lakshmi, Devadarshini, Akshara Gowda, Rao Ramesh and Vennela Kishore are roped in to play pivotal roles. Manmadhudu 2 is produced by Manam Enterprises, Anandi Arts and Viacom18, where Samantha will be seen in a cameo role.
