Post Dhobi Ghat, singer/actress Monica Dogra kept busy with music. She says she "trusted her gut and was never drawn to a single film offer " that came her way. " It was only then that David happened. I knew I wanted to do the film the moment Bejoy came to me with the script," said Monica.
"I have always been an active musician and I never felt the need to do anything else. I work a lot anyway and I was waiting for the right script," she said. "I am a very down to earth person. I do all my work myself. I use public transport and my life is an open book." She is currently in a relationship but says that like other celebs she will give a serious thought to privacy of her personal life. "Yes, I am dating someone. He is an artiste from Canada. But I don't know about marriage. Let me figure it out," she adds.
