Mission Mangal will essay the story of scientists at ISRO who contributed to India's first interplanetary expedition, Mars Orbiter Mission. The mission was launched on November 5th, 2013 and the filing of the movie began on the very date in 2018. The movie's star cast includes Akshay Kumar, Vidhya Balan, Nithya Menen, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Sharman Joshi and Kriti Kulhari. Mission Mangal's first look was unveiled on the 4th of July, teaser was released on the 9th July and today, (18th July) the trailer of the movie is released. Planned to be released on the 15th of August, marking the occasion of Independence Day, Ravi Varman has cranked the camera and the tunes for the movie is composed by Amit Trivedi, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Edited by Chandan Arora, bankrolled by Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions and Fox Star Studios.
