Co-directed by Sheershak Anand and Shantanu Ray Chhibber, the film 3G, which stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sonal Chauhan, is said to be based on real life incidents.

The directors reveal that, they were inspired after reading articles about incidents that occur in Nigeria. There was this one incident that fascinated them, where in a phone number was jinxed and who ever owned it, would die in six months.

As the duo love making horror films, they wanted to do something different, other than the regular haunted villa stories. “The idea of a haunted cell phone can be so scary in different scenarios. It's very personal. We live in the 21st century and in this world of the third generation, everything is evolving from fashion to music, so why not fear? That's why our film is called 3G," said Sheershak.

Even before the movie has announced its release, it has already been attracting eye balls with its steamy trailers.
