Vijay Antony has got a busy year ahead of him as the music composer, playback singer, actor, film editor, lyricist, audio engineer, and filmmaker has been signed on to a number of projects. Of those many projects, the next film in his kitty is the one that is most looked forward to by all. The film is titled Kolai and it is said to be a psychological murder mystery.

The plot is rumored to revolve around an elite family which brings everyone under suspicion after a murder is committed. Things take a turn when everyone has a story of their own when the case is being investigated. The film is inspired by a real-life incident that took place in New York in 1923. The first look of the film was released today and Vijay Antony himself took the opportunity to share it with everyone on Twitter.

Directed by Balaji Kumar of Vidiyum Munn fame, The film features an ensemble cast including Ritika Singh, Murli Sharma, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Arjun Chidambaram, Siddhartha Shankar, and Femina Miss India 2018 pageant Meenakshii Chaudhary, who will be making her acting debut, among others. The movie is jointly produced by Kamal Bohra, G. Dhananjayan, Pradeep B, Pankaj Bohra, and S Vikram Kumar of Infiniti Film Ventures in association with Tan Sri Doraisingam Pillai, Siddhartha Shankar and RVS Ashok Kumar of Lotus Pictures. The film has its music scored by Girishh Gopalakrishnan, cinematography by Sivakumar Vijayan, editing by Selva RK, art direction by Arusamy, and stunt choreographed by Mahesh Mathew.

The film's first look has two posters. One in Tamil and one in Telugu, with the latter version of the film being titled Hatya. As it happens to be, Vijay Antony holds a very good fan base and market in both the Tamil and Telugu communities, and as a result, the film is expected to attract a very large audience which will benefit its performance at the box office.
