Karishma Kapoor made her Bollywood debut at the age of 17, she went on to act in some commercial blockbusters during the early 90s. She is considered as a lucky charm and ruled the industry between 91 to early 2000. She then entered her wedlock in 2003 following which Karishma stopped taking up roles. She was now and then seen in cameo roles and television reality shows and she again took a sabbatical from films in the year 2013. A small cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero (2018) happens to be her only films in the past 7 years. After a very long time, Karishma has taken up a full-fledged role that would please her fans. She will be seen in a web-series titled Mentalhood which revolves around mothers who are giving it all to nature their kids in the best possible way.  
 
Mentalhood will be streaming from this March on ALT Balaji. This marks Karishma Kapoor’s digital debut. Mentalhood is about different natures of mothers and showcases how they manoeuvre their way through unreasonable expectations and they try their best to raise their children. The series explores the multitasking nature of different types of mothers and their ways in leading the best upbringing of their children. Featuring a large pool of talented actors the web-series features Karisma Kapoor, as Meira Sharma, who hails from a small town, along with her husband Anmol (played by Sanjay Suri) who do their best to be the perfect dream team for their three kids. This series also features Dino Morea as a stay-at-home dad named Aakash Fernandes, Sandhya Mridul as ‘Momzilla’ Anuja Joshi, Shilpa Shukla as a workaholic mom Namrata, Shruti Seth playing the role of a ‘boho mom’ named Diksha and lastly, Tillotama Shome as the ‘pushover mom’ Preity.
