The release of KGF Chapter 2 got fans and hardcore enthusiasts running into theatres to watch the magic take place on screen. The Yash starrer sequel to 2018's film KGF: Chapter 1 has collected a whopping Rs.134 crores from all languages in India. This astonishingly massive number has surpassed all expectations, and it has certified rocking star Yash as the pan-India star.

Yash has single-handedly managed to break all the records of the Indian cinema proving that he is the real deal. The one to watch out for. The box office monster. Breaking records and creating history, KGF Chapter 2, directed by Prashanth Neel, has now become the biggest opener in India for the Hindi language and has also crossed the lifetime earning of its first film with a single day earning. Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce the news about the film's record breaking performance. He wrote, "‘KGF2’ CREATES HISTORY, BIGGEST DAY 1 TOTAL… #KGF2 has demolished *opening day* records of #War and #ThugsOfHindostan… #KGFChapter2 is now BIGGEST OPENER in #India [#Hindi version]…"

The film has managed to beat War and Thugs Of Hindostan to become the biggest opener in the Hindi language. The film minted Rs.53.95 crore on its opening day but that is not all. KGF: Chapter 2 has also broken records in the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Kolkata as well. KGF Chapter 2 emerges victorious everywhere irrespective of the state, region, or country it is being watched in.

The film starring Yash in the lead alongside Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, and Prakash Raj was released across 10,000 screens worldwide on Thursday (April 14), making it the biggest release ever for a Kannada film. The film focuses on Rocky's war with the villain Adheera, played by Sanjay Dutt, over Kolar Gold Fields (KGF). Filmmaker Prashanth Neel has also said that he would be open to continuing the franchise if the second installment receives a good response from the audience.
