Shilpa Shetty's upcoming film The Desire directed by R. Sarath, was rumuored to be inspired by the life of classical dancer Protima Bedi. However, Sarath has clarified that the film is not about Protima Bedi, it is about an Odissi dancer and her quench for long lost love in her life. He further added that he has always admired Protima Bedi.
Shilpa plays the role of Odissi dancer, while Chinese actor Xia Yu as the painter in the film. Stay tuned for more updates.
