Sanjay Leela Bhansali, along with Black and Saawariya's Art director, Omung Kumar, are planning to make a film, on the life of Olympic medal winner, boxer MC Mary Kom.

Apparently, Omung met Mary Kom a year back and got her approval, to do a film based on her life. Omung has got the script ready, and has also got it okayed by Sanjay. Sanjay is planning on meeting Mary Kom on August 23.

Sanjay confirmed this news, saying, "Omung brought the script to me a month before the Olympics. Mary Kom has made India proud. I was moved by her story. She is a mother of two, has been through so much struggle, has tremendous spirit and a sense of living and dignity and is now a World Champion. She has what it takes to make a great champion. An Indian woman boxer is rare. It will be an exciting film to produce and I am very happy to do it."

The movie's cast is yet to be decided. They are looking for an actor who looks similar to her. Mary Kom is a person who does not speak English well, but she speaks from her heart, and the actor needs to have this quality. This movie will be the directorial debut of Omung Kumar.
