The entire nation is hooked to the smash hit reality TV show, which is currently being aired in its Hindi, Telugu and Tamil versions. Among them, the Hindi version began its fourteenth season on Colors TV, with host Salman Khan returning for the eleventh time. As Bigg Boss 14 continues to top the TRP ratings yet again, there is now another controversy as Karni Sena, an organization in Rajasthan, has demanded a ban on the show. In a notice sent to Colors TV, they stated that the show is promoting 'Love Jihad', while referring to the intimate relationship between contestants Pavitra Punia and Eijaz Khan.

The controversy erupted after a recent Bigg Boss 14 episode where Pavitra Punia and Eijaz Khan, who often shared a hug on the show, were seen kissing one another. While Pavitra is a Hindu, Eijaz belongs to the Muslim community. Karni Sena's notice to Colors TV read as follows: "We underline that the show is spreading vulgarity and is hurting the social morality of the country. The show is against the cultural ethos of the country and highly objectionable intimate scenes are a part of it. This reality show is promoting and encouraging Love Jihad, which is highly unacceptable. We strongly demand to ban the reality show Bigg Boss."

There have been many on social media who have been demanding a ban on Bigg Boss 14 ever since it started last month claiming Salman Khan was hosting the show. Some have stated that he is a product of nepotism and demanded to boycott the show. Karni Sena has also said that they will take to social media and if necessary, the streets, to organize a protest against the show.

"It is to be noted that while some have taken to social media to express their anger over the TV show, if the show is not censored or banned, Shri Rajput Karni Sena will take to the streets to protest against it. Such serials which promote love jihad should be banned with immediate effect. The show promotes disharmony and religious conversion and hence, it is warranted to be banned in the national interest," Karni Sena's letter further stated.
