The Indian Men's Cricket team got their first ever major recognition on the world stage when they won the Cricket World Cup in 1983, under Kapil Dev's captaincy. When it was announced that a movie was being made on this, with Ranveer Singh playing Kapil, it created quite a sensation. The makers have put together an ensemble cast and are leaving no stone unturned to churn out an iconic movie! Now, Ranveer has posted a new photo which is creating waves on social media!

Early today, Ranveer uploaded a pic of him playing the iconic 'Natraj Shot' that Kapil Dev was famous for! Most people who saw the pic would have had a double take, as Ranveer looks just like Kapil Dev, in the pic! One of India's finest all-rounders and gentlemen that Indian Cricket has ever seen, Kapil Dev almost single-handedly took India to the title in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Shoot for the movie 83, directed by Kabir Khan, began in June of this year. The team underwent a lot of preparation and attended camps before canning a lengthy schedule in the UK and Scotland.

The cast of 83 includes Deepika Padukone (who is also co-producing this movie), Harry Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Ammy Virk, Jiiva, Sahil Khattar, Chirag Patil, Boman Irani, Pankaj Tripathi, Parvatii Nair, Wamiqa Gabbi and a host of other stars. Pritam and Tanishq Bagchi are composing the songs for this movie while Julius Packiam is scoring the BGM. Rameshwar S Bhagat is handling the editing while Aseem Mishra is taking care of the cinematography.
