It has been quite a while since the Tamil audience saw Madhavan on the big screen and his last release was the acclaimed blockbuster hit, Vikram Vedha, directed by Pushkar-Gayathri. Up next, he has three big projects which are in different stages of production. He would be seen playing the male lead in Anushka's Nishabdham (Silence in Tamil) which is expected to release as soon as the theatres reopen. However, if the situation doesn't get better, the makers might opt for a direct OTT release. Maddy also has Maara which is the final stages of post-production. Maara is the Tamil remake of Dulquer Salmaan's acclaimed hit film, Charlie, and this film is directed by Dhilip Kumar. Maara features Shraddha Srinath as the female lead, while Sshivada, Mouli form the supporting cast. The film has music scored by Ghibran, cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan and Karthik Muthukumar and editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan.

Then comes Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, Madhavan's ambitious dream project that also marks his directorial debut. Produced by Tricolour Films in association with Varghese Moolan Pictures, Rocketry has music scored by Sam CS and cinematography by Sirsha Ray. The film is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). There were false espionage charges and accusations that were placed on Nambi Narayanan and the film is going to be based on those incidents. Having said that, Madhavan, on his Twitter page, has now shared a short video that was taken at the shooting spot of Rocketry.

He recollected the memories of shooting with over 400 aircrafts at the same time for the film and felt very nostalgic about it. The film will feature Simran as the female lead, while the supporting cast includes Ravi Raghavendra, Ron Donachie, Phyllis Logan, Misha Goshal in the supporting cast. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a cameo role in the English and Hindi versions of the film. Suriya will reprise the cameo role in the Tamil version which is titled Rocketry: Nambi Vilaivu.

The film is expected to release when the situation gets back to normal and being a project that has been made on a large scale, we can be sure that the film will be released in a record number of screens. For now, here is the video shared by Madhavan from the sets of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect:
