Director Kiran Rao expressed her struggle in keeping the scripts of her debut directorial flick Dhobi Ghat, from the hands of her husband Aamir Khan, who also happens to be the producer of the film. Kiran states that not only Aamir, any producer would be keen to know whether some scenes will work among the audiences. She had to face the same with Aamir Khan, as he would interrupt in most of the scenes, and make slight changes in it.
Kiran denied any changes being done, and said that she shot according to her own wish. She said that the scriptwriter would have spent decades writing the story in her own imagination, in the way she wanted it to be. Hence, the demands from anyone to make changes cannot be accepted and after all the film, is the scriptwriter and director's baby. Dhobi Ghat has been selected to be screened at the 12th Osian's Cine-fan Film Festival.
