The Delhi High Court has cleared the stay imposed on the release of Gulaab Gang, which was scheduled to release tomorrow. A single judge from the Delhi Court stayed the film in regard to a plea filed by social activist group leader Sampat Pal, who is also the head of Gulabi Gang, claiming that the film is about her life story and was also shot without her approval. Sampat Pal, who served as a government employee, now runs a social activist group wearing pink sarees, which is something portrayed in the film.
However, the stay got cleared after the makers promised to prove that that film is not based on her life. Hence the film starring Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla will get released as planned tomorrow.
