The Central Board of film certification has confirmed that 'A' certified films even after modification to TV audience will not screened hereafter. The spokesperson revealed that the decision has been taken after a long discussion, according to the 1952 Cinematograph Act. Earlier an 'A' certified film will be viewed by the committee members of the censor and similar cuts will be made according to the TV audiences. But, after passing the act, the films will no longer be allowed to be screened on small screens.

Interestingly, even after several cuts The Dirty Picture's screening was stopped at the last time. Finally, it was allowed  to go on air after 11 pm, but now any film with an 'A' certificate will never reach the small screen. Big films like Delhi Belly, Anurag Kashyas's Gangs of Wasseypur series and Vikram Bhatt's Hate Story, which were lined up to be censored, will never reach the TV screens.
