Saroj Khan is one of the most prominent Indian dance choreographers in Bollywood. She has choreographed over 200 films. She has won the National Film Award for Best Choreography in Sringaram (2006), Devdas (2003) and Jab We Met (2007).

The flawless choreographer thinks dance, these days, has changed a lot. She feels its just about beats and there is no grace at all. Dance nowadays is all about acrobatic and she also feels that people are just copying the west. She says "We don't think about our own culture. If we learn from our own culture, it will be very tough. I feel that dance is going down," she added.

Saroj is on a look out for a new age Madhuri Dixit. We all know Madhuri for her great acting skills and we praise her more for her flawless, graceful dancing. Saroj says that she hasn’t seen any one come into Madhuri's horizon after she left acting. When asked about the qualities she is looking for, in the new age Madhuri, she says “I am not just just looking for a good dancer but also a woman who can emote. When she dances, others should also feel like dancing, if she cries others should feel like crying. And to make that model, I need that kind of clay which Madhuri is made of.”

Saroj Khan has worked with dancing divas like Sridevi and Madhuri. In today's league, she seems to be impressed with Sonakshi Sinha whom she trained for director Prabhu Deva's film Rowdy Rathore. Saroj Khan has been appreciated and remembered for all the work she has done. But her search for a new age Madhuri sounds like a difficult task indeed!
