The talk of the town is the recently concluded United States Presidential elections. Donald Trump and Joe Biden clashed for the post of the Leader of the Free World and the poll votes were being calculated over the past few days, after the election happened on November 3rd! The counting of the votes indicated a close-run election for the first two days, before the Democratic candidate Joe Biden began taking the lead over his Republican rival and sitting President - Donald Trump! However, Trump cried foul and stated that there was some misappropriation in the votes counting in a few states. He had demanded for the vote counting to be stopped and the US Supreme Court had also initially acknowledged. However, when it became apparent that Joe Biden was continuing to surge into a comprehensive lead, the Court also revoked its decision.
While the vote counting is not 100% complete as yet, the people have already accepted Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States and national leaders from across the world have already been sending in their congratulatory messages for the new US President Biden. However, it looks like the acceptance is unanimous as there is still a person who says that he wouldn't accept Biden as the new US President yet. If you guessed this person to be the former President Donald Trump, then you are right on the money! Trump is yet to concede defeat and sources close to him state that he is nowhere close to doing so. There are reports that Jared Kushner - Trump's son-in-law and senior advisor, has approached him to concede defeat to Biden, in the closely contested election.
However, it looks unlikely that Trump would accept Kushner's suggestion as he has announced that his campaign is all set to challenge the Presidential election results in Court, next week! Trump also stated, "this election is far from over." In Trump's statement, he claimed that all the people know why Biden is rushing to falsely claim himself as the winner and also why his media allies are trying so hard to help him! Trump went on to add that Biden's camp don't want the truth to be exposed and simply added that the elecions were far from over. Even prior to this statement, Trump has proclaimed himself as the winner of the elections despite most media proclaiming victory for Biden. Trump's tweet also read, "I WON THIS ELECTION, BY A LOT!" This tweet was unfortunately flagged by Twitter itself, stating that the official sources may not have called the race, when Trump posted the tweet. Trump has continued to claim electoral fraud and went on to state, "bad things happened" inside the counting rooms. Stay tuned for further updates...
