June 4 - TN COVID Update: 1384 New Cases | 12 New Deaths | Total - 27,256 Cases & 220 Deaths

It is that time of the day when the official number of the COVID-19 cases are released and June 4th has become the fourth consecutive day recording above 1000 infections in Tamil Nadu. Today marks the highest number of registered cases in both Tamil Nadu and Chennai. The official numbers of COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus cases in Tamil Nadu are out and we have it for you. The last 24 hours show that Tamil Nadu has had 1384 new cases of COVID positive being reported, taking the overall total to 27,256! Of these, 1072 new cases have been identified in Chennai alone, taking the district's total to 18,670!
There have been 12 new COVID related deaths in Tamil Nadu in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 220. As of now, Chennai is the biggest hotspot in the state and has 18,670 cases registered. The total number of active cases in entire Tamil Nadu, stands at 12,132 while the number of active cases in Chennai alone, stands at 9,066! The number of recoveries has been moderately constant and is at 585 new recoveries and discharges and the total number of recovered people is now at 14,901. There have been 16,447 samples tested, in the past 24 hours alone, taking the total tests to 544,981! The numbers are continuing to be very high in Tamil Nadu and Chennai and it is totally in the hands of the people to ensure our own safety.
