Pune: Amidst the disheartening rise in the number of violent crimes against women, three boys of the Fergusson College in Pune won the collective love of the internet on Monday after they arrived for a function in the college wearing sarees. The function in question requires students to be dressed formally and the boys - along with some girls who wore suits - were trying to advocate the fact that saree and salwar aren't the only dignified attires for women.

According to India Today, three third-year Under Graduate students - identified as Akash Pawar, Sumit Honwadajkar and Rushikesh Sanap - arrived for the 'tie and saree day' at their college in sarees. Even as they did a good job decking up perfectly, the boys hilariously commented that now they knew why women took too long to dress up.
