The Class X results for the academic year 2019-20 will be declared on August 10 by the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) at 9.30AM, the Tamil Nadu government announced on Friday.
Board exams were cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the state had announced it would be awarding marks to the students based on their quarterly and half-yearly exams. More than nine lakh students were set to appear for their Class 10 exams, which were scheduled to be held earlier this year in March.
After the pending SSLC exams were postponed, they were expected to be conducted from June 15. However, the Tamil Nadu government on June 9 announced the cancellation of the pending exams in view of the rising number of coronavirus cases across the state and, also taking into consideration the parents and the welfare of the students.
The Directorate of Government Exams in a statement today said the results of Class X will be declared at 9.30AM on August 10 and candidates can check them by registering their date of birth and roll number on the following websites:
The results can also be checked on third-party result websites including the TN SSLC Result app available on Google Play or App Store. Any students with grievances in regard to their marks can submit the form through their schools between August 17 to 25. The DGE's website www.dge.tn.gov.in will then receive these forms after which they will be processed.
The press release also stated that the results would be conveyed through school headmasters, while the candidates also can obtain their provisional mark sheets from August 17 to 25.
