Tamil Nadu police asked to sign registers in Tamil

A directive from the Director General of Police office has reminded all the police stations under the authority to make sure that the personnel registry is maintained in Tamil.
The release also directs the stations to keep ready the name boards of their stations and office seals in Tamil. Draft correspondences and any communication has to be in Tamil and attendance registers should also be signed in Tamil.
Moreover, all the patrol vehicle should carry the sign 'Kaaval' in an easily visible manner. The move comes weeks after a review inspection by the Director General of Police, J.K. Tripathy.
