PM Modi to address the world on July 9th at India Global Week 2020!
The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi might be having fans and haters but he is somebody who just cannot be ignored and has quite a name on the world stage! He is somebody who is almost always in the spotlight and generates highly polarised opinions with each of his actions! In recent times, he was hailed by the world media for his handling of the COVID pandemic but since then, India has now risen to 3rd place behind the USA and Brazil on the list of countries most affected by the corona virus! Just recently, he made a surprise visit to the Indo-China border where the tensions have been high, following clashes between the armed forces of both countries!
Our PM Modi has also been regularly addressing the nation during the COVID lockdown, explaining the various efforts being taken in our country as well as felicitating the frontline warriors and urging the people to follow the safety guidelines. Now, Narendra Modi will be addressing the world, tomorrow (July 9th)! The India Global Week 2020 is all set to happen in the UK from Thursday (July 9th) and this event is touted to be one of the biggest international events on India's globalisation! PM Modi would be remotely addressing the world at this event with his main focus being on India's trade & foreign investment prospects!
Narendra Modi's speech is said to be touching upon various plans for numreous investment & manufacturing opportunities that India has to offer to the world, as it recovers from the COVID pandemic! This 3-day annual summit is being held on a virtual platform this year, owing to the COVID pandemic. Many top level speakers from India, including Cabinet Ministers S Jaishankar, Piyush Goyal, Hardeep Singh Puri, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Mahendra Nath Pandey have been lined up to participate. The UK side is bringing in Prince Charles for a special address and the lineup also includes Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, Home Secretary Priti Patel, International Trade Secretary Liz Truss and Health Secretary Matt Hancock! Let's hope this event turns highly successful and brings in a lot of foreign investment to India!
