There's no stopping the power of love. And, when that love you share for your beloved is true, it will never fail. A video of a young woman with alopecia being helped by her boyfriend to shave her head has gone viral on social media after it first hit TikTok in May.
It is the first time the woman is getting her head shaved in nearly a decade with the video showing the boyfriend too shaving his head immediately as an act of love and support, leaving her in surprise. Not expecting her boyfriend to shave his head too, the woman is seen fighting back tears, with the video gaining an outpouring of love since then. Eva Barilaro captioned the short clip of the emotional haircut saying, "After months growing my hair for the first time in 10 years I had to ask my boyfriend to shave my head again,".
The video, which has garnered over 1 million views to date, has Barilaro shedding tears, while laughing and chatting with her boyfriend, as he carefully begins to shave her head. With the hit Bruno Mars' track, "Just the Way You Are", set to the video, the woman is taken aback when her boyfriend starts shaving his own head, while kissing her face as she cries, after being bowled over by the gesture.
The clip began doing the rounds once again on Wednesday, and this time on other social networking forums after it was shared by social media influencer Rex Chapman. Tweeting with the caption, "Get out the tissues", the emotional clip has since been viewed over 9 million times.
Soon after the video went viral, many people shared similar stories of support and some parents stepped up for their kids with a buzz cut. With the clip receiving a huge response, Barilaro expressed her gratitude replying to Chapman on Thursday saying, "You rock, Thank you for sharing our video and help us spread our love,".
