Goosebumps, the term which would remind one about a children’s book series of the same name, is a computer animated 3D film directed by Rob Letterman. It may be remembered that the book series was written by R.L. Stine, who was one of the most lauded authors of 1990's. However, the film Goosebumps is written by Scott Alexander, Larry Karaszewski, and Darren Lemke. Presented under the banner of Columbia Pictures, the film stars Jack Black, Dylan Minnette, Odeya Rush, Amy Ryan, Ryan Lee and Jillian Bell in central roles. Jack Black plays the main lead of a fictionalized Stine like author, whose imaginary scary characters leap off the page and are set free on the town. How the lead roles try to come up with ways to send the scary characters back to where they came from forms the crux of the story.
