Priya Bhavani Shankar has grown to be one of the leading actresses of recent times. The actress began her career as a news anchor and played the lead in a television soap opera and then entered the big screen with the film Meyaadha Maan. She has starred in multiple hit films and Her recent Tamil release was Agilan starring Jayam Ravi as the lead. The actress has also played an important role in the upcoming Tamil film Pathu Thala which had Silambarasan TR as lead. Pathu Thala has huge anticipation as STR has been delivered hit and hit after his comeback and the film is the remake of the Kannada film Mufti. The film is directed by Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame Obeli N Krishna and music by AR Rahman. Gautham Karthik is a busy actor who made his debut in Kadal. He has other films includig August 16 1947 and Criminal in line.
Ahead of the release of the film, the important actors from Pathu Thala Priya Bhavani Shankar and Gautham Karthik gave an exclusive interview to Galatta Media and shared some interesting information about the film and personal insights. When asked if anyone has ever tried to be taken advantage of or felt belittled at any point, Priya Bhavani Shankar replied “Yes, It has happened. For a long time I did not know a certain level of attitude should be there not to show who we are. Everything is multiplied in cinema, money, ego, everything is into much much more time here. Attitude is not a bad word, I am not saying because I am in silver screen now and was in television that but, you should just treat people right that it. A to Z Director Krishna sir will treat everybody the same be it a junior artist or STR. And that is what I expect from people. We cannot expect that from everybody but sometimes we have to snatch it away from people. And that took time (for me to realize)."
When asked he though about comparison of him with his father, Gautham Karthik said “In the beginning, everyone, growing up everybody will say I should be a good actor like my dad and that made me deviate from acting. I got into marketing and because Mani Ratnam sir called and I couldn’t say no, I began acting. There were many comparisons that I have to be better than dad or like him. but, I took a stand that I should not take up this tension. I am sincere in my job and people will keep talking and I know that if we work sincerely we will get a place in the cinema."
