SK's next biggie to be produced by this Hollywood production house?

Director Nelson Dilipkumar garnered the audience's attention through his impressive debut in Nayanthara starrer Kolamaavu Kokila. This dark comedy-drama was a super hit at the box office that also managed to satisfy the critics. An official press note on the director's next film has now been released. It has been revealed that director Nelson's next film will be produced by the renowned production house, Sony Pictures Entertainment India, in association with Vishnu Induri, who is right now bankrolling Ranveer Singh's 83' and director Vijay's Thalaivi (Jayalalitha biopic).

Sony Pictures India and Vishnu Induri have decided to collaborate together and produce quality films in South India and that would start off with the Tamil film directed by Nelson. This film will mark the Tamil debut of Sony Pictures, who have already produced a film in Malayalam, Nine, that starred Prithviraj as the lead. Sony and Vishnu Induri have also announced their production ventures in Malayalam and Telugu as well.

They will bankroll director Zakariya Mohammed's (Sudani From Nigeria fame) next film in Malayalam, while it will be RX 100 director Ajay Bhupathi's untitled next in Telugu. Coming back to Nelson's project, the auditions are underway for budding actors to be a part of this exciting film.

On the other hand, Nelson is committed to doing a film with his good old friend, Sivakarthikeyan and that is touted to be his second film. But, Sony Pictures have also announced that they will produce Nelson's next film. So, we are not sure if Sony will produce Nelson's second with SK or his third film. We will have to wait for a few more days to get more clarity.
