Prometheus is an upcoming science fiction film written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof, and directed by Ridley Scott. This film features A-list stars like Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron.
 
The story, set in 2085, revolves around the crew of the spaceship Prometheus. The crew comes to know about an advanced alien civilization in search of the origins of humanity.
 
This movie is rumoured to be the prequel to Ridley Scott's 1979 horror film, Alien. The filming for Prometheus started in March 2011, and the crew have shot in various places including England, Iceland and Spain. Prometheus is scheduled for release between May 30 and June 8, 2012 in various countries under the banner of 20th Century Fox.
